Health Care Common Sense Initiative

Ohio's Medicaid plans are committed to implementation of the "Common Sense Initiative," in Ohio’s Medicaid program. As agents of the state, Medicaid plans want to hear from our partners in the health delivery system as to what common sense requirements we could target for change. We are looking for your suggestions on processes in the health care delivery system that are barriers and hinder better health outcomes and economic development. Each of the seven health plans serving Ohio Medicaid enrollees is the Health Care Home for its members. They partner through the Ohio Association of Health Plans (OAHP) to focus on the mission of the Health Care Home: comprehensive caring that helps Ohioans stay healthier, heal quicker, and take control of their own well-being. And that helps keep the cost of health care in control for Ohio. The mission of the Ohio Association of Health Plans is to promote and advocate quality health care and access to a variety of affordable health care benefits for all Ohioans.
